Air Bag Training
"A" Shift started their busy morning off training on the use and operation of the new air bags. The current air bags have met their life expectancy of 15 years and are being replaced with these new Vetter Air Bags. Lifting operations and "back-up" options were reviewed and demonstrated during this morning's drill.
Crews from all shifts participated in extrication training. Thanks to Abe's Auto Repair for providing the vehicles.
Emergency Vehicle Operations
On May 11, 2016, shifts completed their annual Emergency Vehicle Operations refresher at the World Outreach parking lot. This year, crews completed their driving on the engines.
New Equipment Mandates More Training
Today "A" shift honed their skills with the new rope rescue equipment that is being placed on Truck 1. Various evolutions of how to safely raise and lower equipment and patients were the goal of today's exercises.
