CFD units and mutual aid were alerted to the 500 block of Lincoln Way East for a report of smoke in a residence. Company 1 units arrived shortly after dispatch to find a home with normal conditions on the outside. As crews were making access to the home, a smoke condition was found on the 1st floor. Crews located a pellet stove that had malfunctioned and put smoke into the home. Crews checked the piping for hte stove and cleaned the excess pellets out. The home was ventilated and units went available.
